Byron Food Pantry

The Food Pantry, located at the Byron Community Education Center, opened in October 2023 to support local residents facing food insecurity. In the summer of 2024, volunteers launched a community garden program to provide fresh vegetables as part of their offerings. The pantry partners with local organizations and individuals to serve Byron neighbors experiencing economic hardship.

Byron Good Neighbor Days

Byron Good Neighbor Days is a cherished annual summer celebration in Byron, Minnesota, dedicated to fostering community connection and festive fun.

Good Neighbor Days is all about community spirit—it brings neighbors together, encourages local involvement, and offers something for everyone. Whether you're joining in a contest, enjoying entertainment, volunteering, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, it's a celebration of togetherness.

The Byron Lions Club

The Byron Lions Club is all about helping people—both in Byron, Minnesota, and beyond. As part of Lions Clubs International, they are connected to a global network of folks who believe that the people who live in a community are the ones who truly understand its needs. Club members pitch in where help is needed, build great friendships along the way, and pick up valuable leadership skills through hands-on service.

Friends of Oxbow

Friends of Oxbow is a nonprofit advocacy group founded in the early 1980s that plays a central role in supporting Oxbow Park and Zollman’s Zoo near Byron, Minnesota. Since its inception, the group has contributed over $750,000 to enhance the park’s educational, environmental, and recreational offerings.

Oxbow Park itself, established in 1969, is cherished as a free-to-visit destination renowned for its native wildlife—including over 30 species in the zoo—and its beautiful natural landscapes.
